Diabetes Management

The main goal of diabetes management is to restore metabolism to as close to a normal state as possible. To achieve this, individuals with an absolute deficiency of insulin undergo insulin replacement therapy, which is given through injections or an insulin pump. Insulin resistance, can be corrected by dietary modifications and exercise. Diabetes is a metabolic disease which can also be corrected by transplantation techniques few such techniques are islet transplantation or even pancreas transplantation.
