Biography
Farhad Rezaee is a senior scientist at Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam/University Medical Center Groningen. He received his Ph.D. at Medical University of Leiden in the Netherlands. Dr. Rezaee is a Systems Biologist (clinical genomics and proteomics) with focus on the discovery of defined and convinced clinical Biomarkers for every disease in human blood. His major research focuses are: 1- Obesity, diabetes, CVDs and rare diseases, 2- Biomarkers, 3- link between adipocytes, plasma lipoproteins, pancreas, and liver with respect to energy metabolic disorders, and 4- Systems Biology and age-related diseases, prevention of diseases and/or extend healthy aging. Dr. Rezaee is convinced that Systems Biology is the key to all medical and biological questions as well as all diseases. Last but not least, the 20 years’ experience and excellent Systems Biology expertise of Dr. Rezaee is lead to the development of a novel methodology, which is guarantee for the discovery of defined clinical Biomarkers for every disease in human blood by BCB.
