Biography
Dr. Yousef Shahin is a Chief Disease Prevention and Control, Health Department, United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Jordan. After graduating in Medicine and General Surgery at Zaprozyha Medical University in the Former USSR in 1985, he joined Jordan University of Science and Technology where he completed Master degree in Public Health in 1995.Dr. Shahin was designated to World Health Organization/ Eastern Mediterranean Region from July-December 2011 as Technical Officer on non- communicable diseases. He has publications in medical journals including the Lancet on different health topics mainly diabetes care among Palestine Refugees. Participated in many international conferences and workshops addressing public health related topics.
